The "GenChange" project was launched with the aim of empowering young people and encouraging positive changes in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This innovative project brought together young activists and creatives from different parts of the country to create campaigns that will inspire a better future. Through a series of events, workshops and engagements with experts, young people joined together to encourage social progress and build a positive image of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The project started in Zenica, where a dynamic debate was organized attended by more than 120 students and young activists. This debate, held at the Faculty of Metallurgy and Technology, laid the foundations for further activities. Thanks to the support of the European Union Special Representative (EUSR), young people had the opportunity to ask questions of EU Ambassador Johann Sattler and other experts on topics crucial to the future of BiH. The project expanded to other cities in the first phase, including 6 cities where we organized large debates where EU representatives, experts and hundreds of students from different universities across the country spoke. These events provided an opportunity for young people to express themselves, exchange ideas and actively contribute to discussions about the future of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The "GenChange" project did not stop at debates; young people recognized the power of creativity and innovation. After the debates, 40 students were selected to participate in the Media Boot Camp in Sarajevo, where they received training in creating advertising campaigns and videos. Divided into five teams, the students designed campaigns that focused on different aspects of the future of Bosnia and Herzegovina. In the next few weeks, together with the students, we shot five videos throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina, and in some of them the students themselves participated as actors.
The "GenChange" project, in addition to empowering young people, achieved extraordinary results. The video campaigns attracted more than 2.2 million views on social media, with 2 million reactions, comments and shares. These campaigns strengthened awareness of Bosnia and Herzegovina's potential and motivated young people to actively contribute to society. The winner for the best video campaign was "TimSevdah", which through the original story about sevdah, BH. tradition, won the sympathy of the audience and the jury. The "GenChange" project has become synonymous with inspiration and change among young people. Their enthusiasm and creativity showed that young people are the initiators of change and that positive transformations can be achieved through joint effort.
